frequently asked questions
How does the paintless dent removal process work?
Paintless dent removal uses a collection of techniques depending on the size and location of the dent. Using specially formulated glue we are able to stick special tags on the outside of the painted panel, we then pull on the tag to remove the dent. Alternatively, we use steel rods to massage away the dents or imperfections. Sometimes both techniques are used thus keeping the existing factory paintwork intact and within manufacture warranty.
What are the benefits of PDR?
Paintless dent removal is simply the most affordable and fastest way of repairing panel damage on your vehicle.
PDR is not only used by all leading Car manufacturers, Insurance companies, Panel beaters and Car dealerships – but it is recommended.
PDR keeps the existing factory paintwork intact, within manufacture warranty and will retain your vehicles’ value!
PDR is environmentally friendly. This means no sanding, no filling and no spray paint which means no harmful dust or chemicals.
Procar Dents Removals is a fully mobile service. We will come to your home or office, saving you time and money.
How is paintless dent removal different to panel beating?
PDR is more affordable, more efficient, and more convenient than ordinary panel beating. PDR restores the original panel, whereas panel beaters will need to replace the panel completely, or will repair the dent by filling, sanding and spray painting to finish; both of which are more expensive and more time consuming.
What size dents can be repaired?
Size does not matter – we are able to repair dents of all sizes, however every dent is different and so every repair is different. Location and severity are more important than size. Large shallow dents can be more easily repaired than small sharp dents. Please have a look at some of our before and after photos to see what our technicians can achieve.
What are the Costs of Paintless Dent Repairs and Removal?
The cost of PDR varies depending on the dent and where it is located. Because of the wide variety in dents, we price the cost of repairs on a case by case basis. Please visit the Request A Quote page to provide some information about your problem and we will be able to contact you with an estimated quote.
How long will it take to fix my dent?
For small, minor dents it could take our experienced Procar technicians as little as 30 minutes to fix your dent. You could go to lunch and we’ll have your car finished when you return. For larger dents or more than one dent it may take 1-2 hours. For a car that is covered in small dents from a hailstorm it may take only 2-4 working days to have your car looking brand new again!
Can you come to my home or office?
Yes! Procar Dent Removals is a fully mobile service unlike some companies that expect you to come to their shop or even meet them at a car dealership. Procar Dent Removals will come to you. This takes away the hassle of dropping your car to a garage and having to find alternate means of transport. You can drive your car to work, and have it fixed before you drive it home that night!
What we need from you: a shaded area and access to a working power point. This will allow Procar technicians to use their special tools, and provide the best possible finish.
Someone walked over my car, can it be repaired?
Yes, Procar have repaired a lot of bonnets, roofs and boot-lids that have been walked on. Again there are a lot of variables but we see jobs like this as a personal challenge and an opportunity to impress you with our skills. We get a lot of satisfaction from repairing big jobs.
What if you can’t fix my dent?
If we can’t fix your dent, then there will be no charge for our time, and we will refer you to an alternative quality service that offers repairs beyond what Paintless Dent Removal can achieve.

Here are some important points/guidelines that will help you determine whether PDR will suit your needs:
The original paint needs to be intact.
No cracks or deep scratches.
Edges are sometimes possible but most of the time the metal is too strong on an edge. This varies among car manufacturers.
Stretched metal cannot be repaired by PDR and it is extremely difficult even for skilled panel beaters to repair.
